Goodnow trustees approve bylaws, policy revisions and annual report
SUDBURY — February 6, 2024 — Goodnow Library Trustees approve bylaws change, two revised policies and annual report. Meeting Feb. 6 with five of six members present, trustees voted unanimously to add public comment to the bylaws' order of business and to adopt revised photography and filming and acceptable behavior policies, both of which now describe the library as a place for quiet contemplation. Director Esme Green said the library is 58 percent through the fiscal year and tracking on budget, that Gov. Maura Healey's budget level-funded state library aid, and that EV chargers remain off the town's capital plan but are covered by a stopgap warrant article. Teen Librarian Lori Ensley reported roughly 530 visits during January's Teen Study Week and said programming aims not to "pigeonhole" teens. Trustees also flagged a long-dormant bylaws requirement to evaluate themselves.
