ZBA approves BMW sign package and Brimstone Lane pool variance

SUDBURY — November 6, 2023 — Sudbury Zoning Board approves BMW signage and a Brimstone Lane pool variance, continues four cases. The board voted 5-0 Monday to approve a revised sign package for BMW of Sudbury at 68 Old County Road, dropping the main building sign from a proposed 108 square feet to 84 square feet — five square feet below the 2008 baseline — while letting corner medallions grow from two to three feet in diameter, with a condition that white backings match the building. Attorney Josh Fox of Rollins, Rollins and Fox argued the larger medallions are "warranted on this size building." The board then voted 4-0 to grant Alex and Samantha Pallavi a variance for an in-ground pool at 34 Brimstone Lane, with the closest corner fixed at no less than eight feet from the property line; member Nancy Rubenstein, an abutter, was statutorily ineligible to vote, making unanimity mandatory. A 60 Windsor Road portico passed 5-0. Four cases — Rappel chickens, Corey storage container, Friend ADU and Nascimento — were continued to Dec. 4.
