Wellesley principal Jamie Chisholm makes his case at LS superintendent forum

SUDBURY — March 30, 2023 — Wellesley principal Jamie Chisholm makes case at Lincoln-Sudbury superintendent forum. Chisholm, a finalist for the combined superintendent-principal post, told roughly an hour of questioners on March 30 he sees the job as "a natural extension" of nine years leading Wellesley High and pledged to keep co-teaching a 10th grade English class and running a four-year advisory group. He cited Wellesley's 16 percent IEP caseload, its in-district Cornerstones program for students with emotional disabilities, and a stipended equity-facilitator model. Asked about weighted GPAs — an active Sudbury debate — Chisholm declined to prescribe a change, calling it "a pretty serious move." On budgeting, he acknowledged reconciling separate guidelines from Lincoln and Sudbury would be new territory; Wellesley's guideline this year is 3 percent.
