Lincoln-Sudbury screening committee finalizes about 14 superintendent interview questions

SUDBURY — February 16, 2023 — Lincoln-Sudbury superintendent screening committee narrows interview questions to about 14. The committee spent nearly three hours Thursday reorganizing a disputed draft into a working set of roughly 14 questions covering the joint superintendent-principal role, budget, special education, academic achievement and student well-being, DEI, communication, collective bargaining, curriculum and METCO. Members opened with a dispute over missing submissions — member Harold Wimberly counted 18 of 29 draft questions as generic template language and said none of his questions appeared — before agreeing to work bucket by bucket on a whiteboard and route final language through consultant Glenn Koocher of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees. Applications close February 28. Koocher delivered a pointed confidentiality warning, saying two other districts leaked applicant information this cycle and that he would "call the district attorney and file a complaint" if it happened here. The committee will meet in early March to rank candidates in executive session.
