Lincoln-Sudbury screening committee finalizes about 14 superintendent interview questions

SUDBURY -- February 16, 2023, Lincoln-Sudbury superintendent screening committee narrows interview questions to about 14. The committee spent nearly three hours Thursday reorganizing a disputed draft into a working set of roughly 14 questions covering the joint superintendent-principal role, budget, special education, academic achievement and student well-being, DEI, communication, collective bargaining, curriculum and METCO. Members opened with a dispute over missing submissions, member Harold Wimberly counted 18 of 29 draft questions as generic template language and said none of his questions appeared, before agreeing to work bucket by bucket on a whiteboard and route final language through consultant Glenn Koocher of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees. Applications close February 28. Koocher delivered a pointed confidentiality warning, saying two other districts leaked applicant information this cycle and that he would "call the district attorney and file a complaint" if it happened here. The committee will meet in early March to rank candidates in executive session.
