250 Committee · Meeting of August 26, 2026

SUDBURY — The Sudbury 250 Committee approved two sets of back minutes and confirmed it will return $12,075 to the town as it nears dissolution. Chair Roderick Gergea reported the anniversary celebration raised $45,308 total, including $25,000 from the Select Board, $15,000 from annual Town Meeting, $4,772 in merchandise sales and $536 in donations, against $33,233 in spending. The committee voted 4-0 to approve minutes from July 9, 2025, and June 25, 2026.

Town counsel advised that "the logo is owned by the town," not the committee, since the panel was created by the Select Board. Members also weighed printing a hard-copy "book of record" for the library, schools and historical society, and discussed scheduling up to three more meetings in September before dissolving.
