250 Committee · Meeting of September 9, 2026

Sudbury's 250 Committee cleared a backlog of five meeting-minute sets and reset its next session to September 22. Committee members Radha Gargea, Tim Cobbett, Joshua Gilman and Jim Weigel voted unanimously on minutes stretching back to March 2025 while finalizing a report to the Select Board showing roughly $11,000 left in committee funds after an outstanding invoice of about $1,000. Gilman, who is organizing the Sudbury Historical Society's booth at the September 26 Colonial Fair, said his group "want[s] to keep all the profit for the effort" if it takes any leftover 250th-anniversary merchandise, rather than store unsold tote bags and T-shirts long-term.

Gargea said she is also exploring whether a local group, the Wayside Quilters, could repurpose unsold items. The committee closed by voting 3-0 to enter executive session to approve prior executive-session minutes.
