250 Committee · Meeting of September 22, 2026
SUDBURY — The Sudbury 250 Committee approved its final report and voted to spend up to $1,500 on a commemorative book of record at its last scheduled meeting. Chair Radha Gargea reported the committee met 51 times in open session and three times in executive session since 2024, spending roughly $24,000 of $25,000 in ARPA funds and $15,000 approved at the 2025 Annual Town Meeting, leaving about $10,000 on hand. Members voted 4-0 to raise the book-of-record budget from an initial $1,000 to $1,500, with Gargea saying "it's good to have that question in case." The panel also agreed to offer roughly 60 leftover T-shirts and other merchandise to the Wayside Quilters, chaired by Carol Bradford, before any remainder becomes town employee recognition gifts.
The Select Board meets September 29 to vote on sunsetting the committee as of September 30.
