SUDBURY -- August 8, 2022, Sudbury Finance Committee elects Poch and Joachim co-chairs, distributes liaison roles. The committee voted 8-0 to install Eric Poch and Michael Joachim as co-chairs for fiscal 2023, with a longtime member, Susan, declining a nomination because she is "pulled in a lot of many different directions right now." Liaison seats were reshuffled across nine town bodies, with Henry "Hank" Sorett taking the Planning Board, Michael Ferrari assisting on Lincoln-Sudbury, and first-year member Colin agreeing to trial the Community Preservation Committee slot at its Aug. 11 meeting. Joachim said last year's roughly $30 million Fairbank Community Center funding decisions produced "difficult conversations because the policy hadn't been followed explicitly," and pushed for a fall meeting with CIAC, the town manager and Select Board to align on capital process before the FY24 cycle. Minutes from four prior meetings were approved 8-0.
