Sudbury Schools Set Sept. 2 First Day For Grades 1-8
Sudbury Public Schools has set Wednesday, Sept. 2 as the first day of classes for grades 1 through 8, with two staff professional development days preceding it on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, according to the district's online calendar.

Staff return to Sudbury Public Schools buildings Monday, Aug. 31 for a professional development day, followed by a second PD day Tuesday, Sept. 1, per the district's calendar. Classes for grades 1 through 8 begin Wednesday, Sept. 2, the same day kindergarten and pre-K Welcome Days start; those welcome sessions run through Thursday, Sept. 4. There is no school districtwide Monday, Sept. 7, and kindergarten and pre-K students have their first full day Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The Sudbury Senior Center is opening registration for its September slate of programs, branded "The Sudbury Scene." Sudbury residents can register starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, with non-residents able to sign up Wednesday, Sept. 2. Residents can register by calling the center at (978) 443-3055 or by email.
