Sudbury Property Taxes Due Monday As Mortgage Aid Program Launches
SUDBURY — Sudbury property owners have until Monday, August 3, to pay real estate and personal property taxes without penalty, as the town simultaneously promotes a new mortgage assistance program for residents struggling with housing costs and moves to fill town and school staffing gaps.

The Sudbury Treasurer's Office is reminding residents that real estate and personal property tax payments must be received on or before Monday, August 3, to avoid late charges, according to the town's News Flash. Payments can be delivered in person or by mail to the Treasurer's Office at 278 Old Sudbury Road, or mailed to the town's PO Box for standard payments.
Separately, the Sudbury Housing Trust announced a Mortgage Assistance Program funded through federal ARPA dollars, intended to help residents who are struggling to keep up with mortgage payments amid rising costs and changing circumstances. The Liberty Ledge Sewataro Advisory Committee (LLSAC) has opened a community survey asking residents to weigh in on future uses of the Liberty Ledge property. The survey will remain open through September 7.
The town's 2026 paving project, underway since mid-July with Sunshine Paving, continues, though a planned closure on Concord Road between Old Lancaster Road and Hudson Road has been postponed to a date to be determined, the Department of Public Works said.

The Sudbury Public Schools' Anti-Hate Anti-Bias Taskforce has a meeting scheduled for July 29, following an earlier session on July 21, according to the district's news page. The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School Committee has an agenda-setting workshop that took place July 27, with a regular School Committee meeting slated for Monday, August 3, at 7 p.m. at 40 Fairbank Road.

The Sudbury Senior Center hosted an Ice Cream Social and Outdoor Games event Tuesday evening, July 28, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., inviting seniors to build their own sundaes and cool off from summer heat.
