Transportation Committee · Meeting of August 14, 2026

SUDBURY — The Sudbury Transportation Committee moved to expand its Catch Connect shuttle into Maynard and Framingham and launched a new wheelchair-accessible paratransit service. Chair Dan Cardy said MWRTA proposed the expansion using new state transit funding, and the Select Board was "intrigued" but wants more detail on cost and routing before proceeding. The committee also confirmed $38,082.71 in leftover ARPA funds will help prepay MWRTA for Catch Connect service, and finalized a signed contract with paratransit vendor FedNOR, offering one wheelchair-accessible round trip per month within a 25-mile radius.

Members fixed a data-formatting bug that had blocked new $100 emergency ride vouchers, noting no resident has yet used one. The hospital shuttle to Boston, which ended June 30 after low ridership, left members debating whether to revive a taxi-fare reserve. The committee unanimously approved its June 12 minutes and set its next meeting for September 18.
