Sherman's Bridge To Close Friday For DPW Maintenance
Sudbury's Department of Public Works will close Sherman's Bridge for a full day of maintenance this week, one of several town hall notices posted in the past day alongside a fall construction timeline for Haskell Field's restroom and playground and fresh calls for volunteers on two town boards.

Sherman's Bridge will be closed to traffic Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. while crews perform maintenance, the DPW announced. The department is asking drivers to plan an alternate route for the day.
The Town Manager's office also confirmed an update on the Haskell Field restroom renovation and Smile Playground project. The restroom facilities will close starting Monday, September 21, for repairs and refurbishment, with construction expected to take about three weeks; the playground installation is anticipated for late September or early October. The upgrades are funded through the Community Preservation Act.
Two town boards put out fresh calls for volunteers this week. The Commission on Disability is seeking new members, and the Design Review Board is also looking to fill open seats.
