Select Board, Policies & Procedures Subcommittee · Meeting of September 14, 2026

Sudbury's Policies and Procedures Subcommittee reviewed aging deed, utility and entertainment policies but took no votes on any of them. Members Daniel Carty and Lisa Kouchakdjian, with a staff member identified only as Andy, discussed a 1999 deed and easement procedure left over from an era of in-house town counsel, a utility regulation still referencing defunct Boston Edison, and an entertainment license policy limiting live music to weekdays. Carty said double utility poles remain town-wide despite a six-month removal requirement, calling for a policy "to have teeth." Kouchakdjian agreed, saying "if it's policy, it should be enforced." The panel approved its June 15 minutes as amended by a 2-0 roll call and set its next meeting for October 26 at 9 a.m.
